Let's start with Hershey's Track Meet...Cade decided to run the 100 meter dash and the 200 meter dash. He was very nervous before his races, but he did great. He placed 2nd overall in the 200 meter dash and made it to the 100 meter finals and placed 4th overall. It is so much fun to watch him stand on the starting line flapping his "wings". If you have ever seen him "gear-up" for anything that he is excited or nervous about, you know what I am talking about and can picture it even as you read this. I will be so sad the day that he out grows that little arm flutter, and he will...I did:)

Next on the calendar, first grade plays...Each year the first graders perform short plays for family and friends to enjoy. Miah was the lion in the play "Can a Mouse Really Help". Let's just say that Miah surprised us all with her performance. I talked to her teacher after the plays and we laughed about how unlike Miah it was. Normally, Miah is very shy in situations where she is in the spotlight. The play performance was different. She was enjoying her time in the spotlight and the drama that we often see at home, was finally put to good use! Miah, it was so much fun watching you do what I wished I had had the courage to do when I was a little girl! You did a great job Brynn!Mrs. Eliserio introduced each character before the start of the play. When she introduced Miah, she stepped forward and gave the crowd an unrehearsed "roar" and made everyone laugh. It was SO cute!

This picture is of Miah and her dearly loved and already missed Mrs. Eliserio. Miah and Mrs. Eliserio really connected this year, making it very hard on Miah when she announced her move to Sterling, Kansas. There were many tears shed on the last day of school by both Miah and her teacher. She will always have a special place in Miah's heart and we are sad that our other kids will miss the opportunity to have her as a teacher!

Up next...Soccer. Both kids enjoyed the season. One more than the other:)

On to the piano recital. This was Caden's second piano recital and he was just as nervous for this one as the first. I am so proud of Caden when it comes to piano. It is not his favorite thing to do. He is never
excited about having to go downstairs to practice, but he does it willingly and most days without complaint. Even though he does not enjoy piano like he does other
things... more specifically, anything involving a ball...he takes it seriously and does his best. One thing about Caden it is that he does nothing half hearted. So, in typical Cade fashion, he stepped up to the piano and gave a nearly perfect performance.

His duet with Chloe.
Interspersed with all the games, recitals, and programs was everyday life...

Our end of the year picnic with the preschool coop families

We spent hours playing on the new swing set/fort that Daddy and uncle Dave spent hours (make that days) to assemble.
