Year Two
After last year, we decided that a trip to the Riverveiw Christmas Tree Farm would be tradition. The Saturday after Thanksgiving we made the 45 minute trek to find the perfect tree. Last year, Cade picked a Black Hills Spruce. It was Miah's turn this year, and she picked the Fraser Fir. I think that she made the perfect choice!
There were a few differing opinions about which tree would be the "prefect" tree for the Bleeker house. The kids have learned that being part of a family of 7 involves compromise. Picking the Christmas tree was no exception...right Miah?:)
What a difference a year can make! Last year Amirah never got out of the car seat. In fact, I don't think that she even made it into any pictures. It was fun to see her thoroughly enjoy the experience:) She was very curious about the whole processes.
We learned that the Frasier Fur we picked (7 ft tall) was planted 10 years ago. So, our tree was planted the same year Caden was born. Amirah picked our tree for Christmas 2020!
Romee sipping on her hot cider while waiting for the tree to be shook and netted.
Here's our whole crew with the tree of 2010. The tree farm is situated right by the Sioux River. There are beautiful views of the river valley on one side and farm land on the other. It makes this wonderful family tradition even more wonderful!
