Romee turned 6 on April 24. Her birthday was on Wednesday, but we waited until Sunday to celebrate. She celebrated with the Bleeker’s for Sunday lunch and with the Franken’s for Sunday dinner. It was a beautiful day, which was rare this spring, so we were very grateful for the weather that day. Romee chose a tie-dye theme for the party. We thought it fitting that she wear a tie-dye shirt the day of the party.
It was a fun, easy project, and they did turn out really cute. I promised my other girls and my nieces that we do it again sometime, so they could all have a tie-die shirt too.
Sunday evenings in the summer and spring, it is tradition for the Franken cousins to play night games. They play “Wolf” (which I have no idea how they play), freeze tag, hide and seek, etc. The night of the birthday party, they convinced the adults to get in on the action. Who doesn’t like a good game of freeze-tag? I think the kids realized we aren’t as old as they think. I love the picture of Miah and Chad…she has her eye on the target!
The little girls Calico Critter collection expanded this spring! They all got new critters or accessories for their birthdays. These are probably my little girls’ favorite toy to play with…and my favorite to buy! They are so darn cute.
Another one of her favorite gifts was the purse that Grandma and Grandpa B gave her. It looks very similar to mine and that is what she loves! She takes it to church, wears it around the house, and even straps it on when she is riding her bike.
Romee Noelle,
You are my little sunshine. Your freckles and pixy face make me smile. Your laid back, “roll with the punches” disposition, make you a joy to be around. You have grown and matured so much this past year. Your teacher tells me that you have lots, and lots of friends, but the two people you seek out every recess are your sisters! You love mornings, but don’t like nights. You start every night off in your bed, but most mornings we find you snuggled up next to Cade. You feel things deeply and are tender-hearted. We love you more and more every day and I am blessed to be your mom. {In Daddy’s words} Happy 6th birthday Romesee Pomesee!

I can't help but wonder how Amirah managed to get a tie dye shirt! Happy birthday, Romee! Nutmeg and Ginger send guinea pig birthday kisses. :)
