Miah attended the Western volleyball camp this week. She attended this same camp last year and learned so much, and it gave her drills and exercised to work on throughout the year. When the registration came home from school this spring, she asked if she could go again. She went alone last year, but this year asked one of her best friends to participate with her. It was fun to hear the two of them chatting in the back seat on the way to and from the camp each morning.
Over the course of the week, the girls were assessed and points were were given for passing, setting, and hitting drills. At the end of the week the points were tallied and the girls were given awards based on the results. Miah was the winner of her 5th grade age division and came home with a medal and a boost of confidence. It is fun to see her improve and succeed in a sport that she loves, loves, loves!
