Late start pictures

Some kids enjoy sleeping in, hot cocoa, and cartoons on late start mornings.  Not my kids.  They took pictures.  Normally, they would also be enjoying their warm cozy beds and mindless TV, but that would require their mom and dad to know about the late start.  We had no idea that it had rained/sleeted the night before and so didn’t even check for a late start.  We had them dressed and ready to walk out the door before we realized it was a late start.  I apologized to them profusely…and then made them take pictures.  It was a perfect day for pictures.  There was no wind, overcast, and really not that cold.  Here are two of my favorites.
