“Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” Dr. Suess
Miah’s time playing with Tri-County, but more importantly her best friend, has come to an end. There are so many feelings and emotions that could be expressed in this post but I don’t have the energy for it now. That will probably all be in a private post for only Miah to see ( because that’s how she prefers it). For today, I will just say that we are done crying and left only with smiles because it happened.
The volleyball court is Miah’s “happy place”. It is where her face lights up and she is sure of herself. As a mom, there is nothing more beautiful than watching your daughter use the gifts God gave her in a way that doesn’t bring attention to herself, but in a quite, confident way. This volleyball season we watched Miah blossom into a player who took charge, instructed her teammates, and even nudged her team to play harder and more aggressively, all in a way that was respected by her teammates. That is no small task for a 6th grade girl. We are proud of you as a player, but even more proud of you as a person, Miah Brynn.
Miah was the setter in a 6-2 offense. She played all the way around, but set only when she was in the front row. I am going to unashamedly boast about my girl for just one second. She has an incredible ability to see the other side of the floor from her side of the net. She is the master of faking a set and dropping it right over the net into an empty spot on the floor. It is a setters kill. I would love to know how many kills she had with that crafty little move.

Miah and her Coaches: Ema and Haley. She had so much fun with these two girls. They had the perfect balance of encouragement and instruction, and did both with smiles on their face.
Love you #1!
