Good evening Caden, Miah, Willow, Romee, and Amirah. Mommy and daddy miss you. We are enjoying each other’s company and are having a nice time together, but we feel like something is missing. You know what it is? It is you. We will enjoy our time away together, but will only feel complete when we are home together again! We wanted to share just a little about our day today. We began our day early. Our bodies still think we are in Iowa, so woke up too early. We decided to just get up and go for a walk. We ate breakfast and had a muffin across the road. Then we got showered and headed off to church. We went to a little Reformed Church just 10 minutes away from our hotel. The pastor preached on a Hebrews 11 and reminded us of Christ coming to provide a “better, supreme, perfect” way. He also reminded us of the 5 solas of scripture in preparation for Reformation Day. I thought of you Caden, and the song you sang at Grandparents day about the 5 solos and Almighty Fortress. It was a wonderful time of worship with fellow believers. Then we found the nearest In & Out (just for Uncle Chad) and had a Double Double with grilled onions. Then we headed out to the Hover Dam. It was amazing to see the beauty of God’s creation in the dessert and the mountains as we drove. Although built with human hands, the dam and bridge were also a marvel to see. This is Lake Meeds. This is the lake that empties into the dam. Cade, in case you are wondering…which I am sure you are, we did see fish in it. Dad thought maybe carp.
Crazy people!!!! Get your kid off the edge!!!! It makes my hands sweat just looking at this picture. I was about ready to go up and scold this gentlemen.
