Caden marched in both the Friday afternoon and Friday evening parades. The SCCS band performed the Hawaii 5-O theme song. They did a great job and earned the first place award for both the “People Choice” and “Over-All Band” in the afternoon parade.
Bryan took the afternoon off so he could watch the afternoon parade and then spend the rest of the day in Orange City with the rest of us. Our kids have never tried any of the Dutch treats at the Tulip Festival, so before heading over to Cora’s for the delicious meal she had prepared, we had “appetizers”. We tried about one of everything and shared them all! The girls couldn’t believe they had been missing out on all this yummy goodness for all these years. The hush puppies were everyone’s favorite. I did learn however, they really aren’t even considered a Dutch treat.
Look who we found by the food…imagine that! The boys had a great time milling around the Tulip Festival in between the afternoon and evening parade.
