We have to do track. Caden participated in the Dordt track meet again this year. He did the high jump and ran in the 4x100 meter relay. He placed second in the high jump and they placed 5th in the 4x100 meter relay. It was a beautiful day for a track meet! After such a cold, windy, wet, spring it was such a treat to enjoy a picnic, the sack races, and lots of sunshine.
Caden has had some great teachers, but Mr. Bandstra has probably been the best match for Caden thus far. Mr. Bandstra knew Caden so well! He saw when Caden needed an extra challenge and also knew when he needed encouragement. Caden and Mr. Bandstra really bonded when they studied Paul’s Travel’s. Caden’s favorite subjects in school are science and bible and Mr. Bandstra had a way of making both those subject “come alive” for Caden. We will miss him next year, but are so grateful for the influence he has been in Caden’s life.
This is the only picture I have of Miah at the Hershey’s track meet. My battery went dead right after the gun went off. She ran the 800 meter dash, and the 4x100 meter relay. It was SO cold and windy that day. The back stretch was brutal for her. She was still able to run her personal best in the 800 and they placed first in the 4x100.
