In Full Swing

Summer is here and in full swing. Our days consist of sleepy mornings and go, go, go in the afternoon and evenings. We have consumed ice cream cones and Butlers smoothies. We have spent afternoons at the pool and at the "Hibma beach". We have gotten pedicures, shopped, biked, played at the park. We have spent afternoons at ball practice and evenings at the same diamonds cheering for our favorite players. Traded the tennis shoes for flip-flops. We have eaten dinners on the deck. Enjoyed our first Sunday night bonfire, complete with gooey marshmallows and chocolate. Mowed, landscaped, gardened, fished. I lay my "baby" in her crib in just a diaper. Picked her up out of the crib with a head full of sweaty curls. Yes, summer is most certainly in full swing. We eagerly anticipate an anniversary celebration, a retirement party, weekends at the lake, vacations, and fresh tomatoes. It's no wonder we love summer!
