Miah had to do a report on a famous person for school. Her teacher offered each of the students many options, but none appealed to Miah. She asked her teacher if she could chose her own person and her teacher agreed. Miah had a couple of people that she found interesting, but in the end she decided to do her oral and written report and diorama on Amelia Earhart.
The day she presented the oral report she dressed up like Amelia Earhart. Bryan was very proud of the small wooden plan he crafted for our “Kit doll” Amelia. This was one of the more enjoyable projects we have helped our kids with. We all learned a lot about Amelia Earhart. We concluded the whole project by renting the movie “Amelia” from the library the weekend after she completed the report. Miah said that the movie was very accurate.
